I'm interested in designing spatial interfaces for use as tools for creation and understanding.

I want spatial interfaces to leverage our manipulative capabilities, augmenting and extending our body schema.

At Carnegie Mellon University, for my masters thesis in design I am studying spatial+interactional intuitions' collisions with simulated, manipulable objects unconstrained by the laws of physics (like phenomena in VR).

How plastic can the mind be within exotic, simulated environments?
How do we use our bodies and senses to develop familiarity with and internalize external systems?

As an undergrad I traced the trajectory and evolution of scientific, mathematic, and philosophic thought at St. John’s College, gaining distinct interest in notation and cognitive tools.
